Am I eligible to buy insurance from Insurance For Group?
You are eligible to buy insurance if you are at least 18 years of age.

Is insurance cover available in sanctioned countries?
Cover within Sanctioned Countries
We provide cover for people travelling to, and working within, sanctioned countries. However, due to international sanctions regulations, we cannot provide cover to anyone who is a legal permanent resident of the following countries: Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Cuba.

Our insurers are unable to make any payments within a sanctioned country.
In this case claims payments are made to the policyholder as a reimbursement for invoices approved by our insurers for claims submitted .

Can I take out a policy when I’m already travelling?
Yes, provided you were insured before you headed out on your trip and want to extend your cover.
When and where am I covered under my insurance policy?
You can buy a policy which will provide you with cover 24/7 for the period purchased, including while at work or at leisure. The insurance cover is restricted to countries within the Zone you selected and lower risk zones. Once you have bought cover in a Zone you are automatically covered in all the other countries in that Zone and lower-risk Zones without additional cost. For example, if you selected the Extreme zone then you will be covered in all the countries in that Zone PLUS in all the lower risk zones — Severe, High, Medium and Low.

Is this a health insurance policy?
No, it’s a personal accident insurance policy.
Every policy provides cover for accidental death and permanent disablement by an accident.
Additional cover for sickness and accidental medical expenses cover is available depending on the policy suitability.

What insurance does my policy provide?
Depending on the type of cover you select it may include some or all of:
• Accidental death
• Permanent disablement
• Medical expenses from an accident or sickness*
• Emergency medical evacuation from the point of an incident to an appropriate care facility and repatriation home when necessary and when possible.
*All medical expense claims have a $250 deductible for each and every claim.

What medical expenses does my insurance policy cover?

Does my insurance include cover for war and terrorism?
Yes, as long as you are not actively participating in war or terrorism.
Am I eligible for sickness, accident and repatriation claims in my own country?
No. If your policy includes it, you are covered for sickness and repatriation from all the countries in your chosen zone except your home country. The decision to repatriate you is decided by the doctor treating you in discussion with our insurer’s emergency claims partner.
What if I am not travelling to a hostile country – Do I still need insurance?
Yes. High-risk environments are not where we receive all our claim notifications. Typical claims also include situations such as road traffic accidents and food poisoning in all our risk-rated countries.
Am I covered if I participate in sports and activities?
The policy cover is available for accidents which occur while participating in normal and reasonable sports and activities. Please contact us if you want to check if the sport or activity you are considering is covered. Further details are available in the policy terms and conditions.
Can I extend my policy or buy additional cover?
Policies are purchased for a fixed term, from three days right up to one year. Once you have bought a policy it cannot be changed or cancelled.
You can buy a new policy through our website or app for additional periods or in a higher-rated zone at any time, even whilst travelling.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?
Yes. Our policies do cover pre-existing conditions but only those for which you have not received treatment, medication or advice for a period of 365 days before you take out the policy.
Does the policy cover COVID-19?
Yes, subject to the pre-existing conditions clause.
Can I cancel or downgrade my policy?
No. Once you have bought a policy you cannot make any changes. We do not offer any return of premiums for cancelled policies.
What happens at the end of my insurance policy?
At the end of the period you selected your insurance will end. You can buy a new policy at any time including if you’re still travelling.
What if my country isn’t listed in the home country or destination lists, can I still purchase a policy?
Yes, our insurance policies are available worldwide. If you are unsure about anything please email us.
Can I extend my policy if my plans change and I need to travel for longer, to additional places or different zones?
Once you have bought a policy you cannot make any changes to it. You can buy a new policy – even if you are travelling – if you need additional period of cover, to top up the cover, or if you are going to a country in a Zone that you are not currently covered in.
Who are the Insurers?
The scheme administrators work with Atlas Life Insurance (PCC) Ltd, who are licensed and regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. Atlas receives 100% reinsurance support for this scheme from Beazley, a member of the Lloyds of London market.
Do you offer insurance for luggage or personal items?
No, the policy only covers the policyholder, not their personal belongings.
How do you determine which country belongs to which Zone?
Insurance premiums are based on the statistics and information the underwriters are working with.
If a country is moved into a different Zone during the period of a policy, the original premium and cover remain the same as when the policy was purchased.

How do I make a claim?
Making a claim should be as easy as buying a policy. There is an online claims form available.

What languages does your claims team work in?
NGS frequently works with clients communicating in various languages, and cover the most common languages in-house. Internal language capabilities (depending on which operator is on shift) include French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.

What is the maximum amount I can be insured for?
The maximum is restricted to no more than a multiple of 10 times the policyholder’s income or $1 million, whichever is lower. If you need more than this then please contact us.

Are there exclusions for pre-existing conditions for sickness claims?
On policies that include sickness 365 days must have elapsed since your last consultation or treatment for pre-existing conditions.

Do you only insure people?
We can provide specialist insurance cover for entire projects and organisations particularly when working in difficult or challenging situations where your existing broker may feel out of their comfort zone. If you have a project in mind then we will be happy to discuss it in depth.
What currency are policies purchased in?
All polices are currently calculated in USD ($).
Are there any countries where cover is not available?
Absolutely none! Cover is aware anywhere in the world, anytime. Our only limitations are where we are complying with restrictions due to sactions.
